Building on the success of the previous model, Fujifilm announced the new Instax Mini 13. This affordable, analogue instant camera now features a new built-in self timer, an improved flash and updated design, likely to make it again onto our list of best instant cameras as the best budget option.

The new built-in self-timer allows for a two or ten-second countdown, ideal for taking selfies and group shots. The Close-Up Mode, with Parallax correction, seen previously on the Mini 12 aligns the viewfinder and lens and helps create a more centred and symmetrical image in Close-Up Mode. For ease of use, exposure and flash control are automated; you only need to press the button.

Simultaneously, the Instax UP! smartphone app, which lets you scan, import, organise, and store photos, was updated too. It can now scan with higher precision to create cleaner copies using AI. To add more creative flair to your shots, Fujifilm also introduced a new ‘Pastel Galaxy’ instant film.

Seems like that the Mini 13 will likely inherit its lens specifications from the Instax Mini 12, but on the outside, it opted for a more rounded design to distinguish the models.
